Abstract

The epoxidation with hydrogen peroxide is effected in the presence of a titania-silicalite catalyst which has been subjected to a thermal pretreatment. The preparation of the olefin epoxide is carried out by the reaction between the olefin and hydrogen peroxide, or a substance producing hydrogen peroxide in the reaction conditions, in the presence of a titania-silicalite which has been heat treated to 650 - 1000 [deg]C.
