Abstract

Una guida d'onda ottica con una differenza ?1 di indice di rifrazione specifico ha la costruzione in cui un nucleo con un indice di rifrazione elevato avente una sezione rettangolare è costruito in uno strato di placcatura con un indice di rifrazione basso formato su un substrato. Una fibra ottica a spiralina comprendente la prima fibra collegata serialmente alla seconda fibra ciascuna delle quali ha una differenza di indice di rifrazione specifico differente è collegata ad un terminale di ingresso della guida d'onda ottica. La seconda fibra con una differenza ?2 (< ?1) di indice di rifrazione specifico è collegata ad un terminale della prima fibra con una differenza di indice di rifrazione specifico quasi uguale a ?1. Una regione di diffusione in corrispondenza delle vicinanze della parte di collegamento è formata diffondendo l'agente drogante per controllo dell'indice di rifrazione nel nucleo della seconda fibra tramite aggiunta di calore. Tramite la regione di diffusione, entrambi i diametri della prima e della seconda fibra vengono regolati in modo da avere un diametro quasi uguale.
