Abstract

The invention relates to a method for monitoring the pressure (p) in a tyre (2) of a moving vehicle. According to said method the length (L) of the tyre contact patch of the tyre (2) in the direction of travel (F) is determined and from said length (L) of the tyre contact patch the pressure (p) in the tyres (2) is determined.
