Description

- 1 MODULAR FORMWORK TECHNOLOGICAL FIELDThe present disclosure is concerned with modular formwork used for erecting of concrete molds in the building construction industry.
BACKGROUND ARTReferences considered to be relevant as background to the presently disclosed subject matter are listed below: - US10,584,5- FR26556- ES21202- IL225944 Acknowledgement of the above references herein is not to be inferred as meaning that these are in any way relevant to the patentability of the presently disclosed subject matter.
BACKGROUNDUS10,584,501 discloses a formwork panel assembly to mold upwardly extending building features such as columns or walls, that extend between adjacent floor slabs. In one aspect, the formwork panel assembly comprises at least two surface forming elements, and at least one connecting element adapted for removable location between the two surface forming elements, where adjacent edges of the surface forming elements abut against the connecting element so that the resulting formwork assembly forms a single, continuous casting surface, and wherein in use, the or each connecting element is separately releasable from the formwork assembly once a concrete surface has been formed. ES2120298 discloses basic modular panels, of great precision in terms of their sizing and machining, with tolerances of the order of fractions of a millimeter, said panels being provided on one face with integral lattice-type reinforcements and equipped with - 2 perforated peripheral profiles which allow the rapid positioning of conical separators and self-centering fasteners, for positioning in the formation of molds, provision also being made for complementary panels for plinths (skirting), for upper hoppers, for closure panels, for pillars, with expansion joints, as well as the complementary stabilization and reinforcement components, likewise allowing the incorporation of metallic reinforcement frames and of slabs of insulating material which will remain incorporated in the set, concreted mass inside the formwork, all these components being non-deformable, of great dimensional precision and of low weight, and the inner faces of the various panels will have a high-quality surface so that the molded components have a smooth surface and require no subsequent treatment. FR2655678 discloses shuttering elements consist of modular panels which are intended to be fixed in pairs parallel to one another and in line with one another in such a way as to define between them a space intended to be filled with concrete. Each panel comprises a board made of fiber-reinforced resin and having on its sides a peripheral edge which projects on the outer surface of the board, and on this surface there is engaged a reinforcement structure consisting of metal profiles and fixed in a removable manner to the said board. Use for the construction of concrete walls or slabs. IL225944 discloses a casting assembly for casting a wall portion, the casting assembly comprising: at least two first panels, each having a casting face configured for casting a wall portion and at least one peripheral side; and a first auxiliary member configured to be disposed between said two first panels and coupled to the peripheral side thereof, said first auxiliary member being configured for fastening to an opposing rigid structure by a fastening arrangement, thereby forming a casting space between said rigid structure and said casting face of at least one of said first panels.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION It is often required to erect a concrete molding formwork having specific dimensions which do not correspond with standardized formwork panels. Hence there is a need to provide a modular formwork system configurable for erecting a molding setup at any dimension and shape. A first aspect of the present disclosure is concerned with a modular formwork assembly comprising at least a casting wall, comprising in turn at least one first casting panel comprising a casting face having a casting surface extending between longitudinal - 3 side coupling profiles, each coupleable to a neighboring casting panel; and at least one modular casting panel comprising a pair of free longitudinal side coupling profiles, each being couplable to a first casting panel, wherein the free longitudinal side coupling profiles are kept at a spaced apart relation from one another to form said modular casting panel by a replaceable board, said replaceable board configured with a casting surface of the modular casting panel. The present disclosure is further concerned with a casting wall for use with a modular formwork assembly, the casting wall comprising in turn at least one first casting panel comprising a casting face having a casting surface extending between longitudinal side coupling profiles, each coupleable to a neighboring casting panel; and at least one modular casting panel comprising a pair of free longitudinal side coupling profiles, each being couplable to a first casting panel, wherein the free longitudinal side coupling profiles are kept at a spaced apart relation from one another to form said modular casting panel by a replaceable board, said replaceable board configured with a casting surface of the modular casting panel. According to a specific example of the first aspect the at least a casting wall comprises at least one first casting panel comprising a casting face having a casting surface extending between longitudinal side coupling profiles, each coupleable to a side coupling profile of a neighboring casting panel; and at least one modular casting panel comprising a pair of free longitudinal side coupling profiles, each being flush couplable to a side coupling profile of a first panel, wherein the free longitudinal side coupling profiles are kept at a spaced apart relation from one another to form said modular casting panel by a replaceable board, wherein a casting surface of said replaceable board is configured for extending coplanar with the casting face of the at least one first casting panel. According to another example of the first aspect, the casting surface of the modular casting panel is disposable at an angle with respect to the casting surface of the at least one first casting panel. The modular formwork assembly can comprise a second casting wall disposed at a spaced apart relation from said first casting wall, defining therebetween a concrete casting space. A second aspect of the disclosure is concerned with an modular casting panel comprising a pair of free longitudinal side coupling profiles, each being flush couplable - 4 to a side coupling profile of a first casting panel, wherein the free longitudinal side coupling profiles are kept at a spaced apart relation from one another to form said modular casting panel by a replaceable board of material fixedly disposed therebetween, and wherein a casting face of said board of material is configured for extending coplanar with a casting face of the first casting panel. The arrangement is such that the replaceable board is made of easily manipulable material, whereby its width can be readily worked at-site, and be tailor sized, such that the casting wall can be adjusted to meet any desired length, and wherein a gap between two neighboring first casting panels can be bridged/complimented. Another aspect of the disclosure is concerned with a formwork corner element comprising a first side casting panel having a casting surface extending between two longitudinal side coupling profiles and a second side casting panel having a casting surface extending between two longitudinal side coupling profiles; a first coupling profile attachable to a longitudinal side coupling profile of the first side casting panel, and a second coupling profile attachable to a longitudinal side coupling profile of the second side casting panel; wherein said first coupling profile is articulable to said second coupling profile by a set of coupling elements. The first side casting panel and the second side casting panel of the formwork corner element can be disposed at any desired angle, wherein said angle is set by the first coupling profile and the second coupling profile. According to a specific configuration, the first coupling profile is attachable to an external face of a longitudinal side coupling profile of the first side casting panel, wherein said first coupling profile is configured with a plurality of projecting fasteners extending through apertures at the longitudinal side coupling profile into a space behind a back face of the casting surface of first side casting panel; and wherein the second coupling profile is attachable to an external face of a longitudinal side coupling profile of the second side casting panel, wherein said second coupling profile is configured with a plurality of projecting receptacles extending into said space for locking engagement with said projecting fasteners. One or both of the first coupling profile and the second coupling profile are detachably articulable with the respective longitudinal side coupling profile of a side casting panel by wedge fasteners, bolts, clamps and the like. - 5 At an assembled position the casting surface of the second side casting panel extends coplanar with an outside surface of the first coupling profile, and a side edge of the first coupling profile extends coplanar with the casting surface of the first side casting panel, giving rise to a smooth corner formwork. Any one or more of the following features, designs and configuration can be applied to any one or more of the aspects and embodiments of the present disclosure, separately or in various combinations thereof:  The casting panel of the at least one standard panel can be made of metal;  The longitudinal side coupling profiles of the least a casting wall can be made of metal;  The free longitudinal side coupling profiles of the modular casting panel can be made of metal;  The longitudinal side coupling profiles can be integral with the casting surface of the at least one first casting panel;  The at least one first panel is a standard-size panel;  The replaceable board of material of the modular casting panel can extend in-between the free longitudinal side coupling profiles, wherein each free longitudinal side coupling profile is configured with a profile casting surface extending coplanar with the casting surface of said replaceable board of material;  The replaceable board of material of the modular casting panel can extend in-between side edges of the free longitudinal side coupling profiles, wherein the casting surface of said replaceable board of material extends across the entire width of the modular casting panel;  The free longitudinal side coupling profiles of the modular casting panel can each be configured with a board support for supporting the replaceable board of material, said board supports disposed coplanar with one another and parallel with the casting face;  The modular casting panel can be reinforced by support members disposed between the free longitudinal side coupling profiles;  The support members can be disposable elements fixable between the free longitudinal side coupling profiles;  The free longitudinal side coupling profiles can be configured with a receptacle for receiving the support members; - 6  The receptacle of the free longitudinal side coupling profiles can have a U-like cross section, the dimensions of which corresponds with a thickness of a support member disposed therein;  The free longitudinal side coupling profiles can be configured with openings for securing thereto the disposable board and the support members;  The free longitudinal side coupling profiles can be configured with apertures for articulation with a side coupling profile of a first casting panel;  The free longitudinal side coupling profiles can have a U-like cross-section, wherein a closed portion thereof bears a back face of the replaceable board of material;  The free longitudinal side coupling profiles can have a U-like cross-section, wherein a closed portion thereof is co-planar with a casting surface of said replaceable board of material;  The modular casting panel comprises two parallelly disposed free longitudinal side coupling profiles, each of which can be connectable to any neighboring coupling profile of a member of the modular formwork;  The disposable board can be made of wood, plywood, WPC (wood-plastic compound), plastic material, etc.;  The arrangement is such that the replaceable board and the support members are made of easily manipulable material, whereby the width of said replaceable board and the support members can be readily worked at-site, and be tailor sized, whereby the casting wall can be adjusted to meet any desired length, and wherein a gap between two neighboring first casting panels can be bridged/complimented;  A casting face of the disposable board can be smooth or patterned;  A plurality of reinforcing beams can be integrally constructed at a back face of the at least one first casting panel;  The at least one first casting panel and at least one modular casting panel can be reinforcingly secured to one another by one or more reinforcing bars extending behind at least portions of coextending at least one first casting panel and at least one modular casting panel;  The reinforcing bars can be configured with a plurality of apertures for use in conjunction with tie rod systems; - 7  Tie rod system can be introduced in a space between two neighboring reinforcing bars;  One or more co-extending reinforcing bars can be reinforced to one another by a reinforcing piece disposed between the reinforcing bars;  The reinforcing bars can have a U-like cross section;  The reinforcing piece can have a U-like cross section;  The reinforcing piece can be snugly received within a trough portion of the reinforcing bars;  The reinforcing bars can be articulated to a back face of the at least one first casting panel and at least one modular casting panel by coupling elements articulated to the reinforcing bars;  Articulation of free longitudinal side coupling profiles of a modular casting panel with respective longitudinal side coupling profiles of a first casting panel can be by wedge fasteners, bolts, clamps, and the like.

Claims (30)

2.CLAIMS 1. A formwork corner element comprising: a first side casting panel having a casting surface extending between two longitudinal side coupling profiles; a second side casting panel having a casting surface extending between two longitudinal side coupling profiles; a first coupling profile attachable to a longitudinal side coupling profile of the first side casting panel; and a second coupling profile attachable to a longitudinal side coupling profile of the second side casting panel, wherein said first coupling profile is articulable to said second coupling profile by a set of coupling elements. 2. The formwork corner element of claim 1, wherein the first side casting panel and the second side casting panel of the formwork corner element can be disposed at any desired angle, wherein said angle is set by the first coupling profile and the second coupling profile.
3. The formwork corner element of claim 1 or 2, wherein the first coupling profile is attachable to an external face of a longitudinal side coupling profile of the first side casting panel, wherein said first coupling profile is configured with a plurality of projecting fasteners extending through apertures at the longitudinal side coupling profile into a space behind a back face of the casting surface of the first side casting panel, and wherein the second coupling profile is attachable to an external face of a longitudinal side coupling profile of the second side casting panel, wherein said second coupling profile is configured with a plurality of projecting receptacles extending into said space for locking engagement with said projecting fasteners.
4. The formwork corner element of any one of the preceding claims wherein one or both of the first coupling profile and the second coupling profile are detachably articulable with the respective longitudinal side coupling profile of a side casting panel by wedge fasteners, bolts, clamps and the like.

The formwork corner element of any one of the preceding claims wherein at an assembled position the casting surface of the second side casting panel extends coplanar with an outside surface of the first coupling profile, and a side edge of the first coupling profile extends coplanar with the casting surface of the first side casting panel, giving rise to a smooth corner formwork. - 14 -
6. The formwork corner element of any one of the preceding claims wherein at least one of the first and second side casting panels comprises a longitudinal reinforcing bar.
7. The formwork corner element of claim 6 comprising a plurality of support ribs extending between the longitudinal reinforcing bar and the side coupling profiles of the side casting panel.
8. The formwork corner element of claim 6 or 7 wherein the longitudinal reinforcing bar comprises a plurality of opening configured to provide support for other construction components or formwork elements.
9. The formwork corner element of any one of the preceding claims wherein the side coupling profiles of the first side casting panel and/or the first side casting panel are articulable to a casting wall comprising at least one first casting panel comprising a casting face having a casting surface extending between longitudinal side coupling profiles, each coupleable to a neighboring casting panel or another formwork corner element, and at least one modular casting panel comprising a pair of free longitudinal side coupling profiles, each being couplable to a first casting panel, wherein the free longitudinal side coupling profiles are kept at a spaced apart relation from one another to form said modular casting panel by a replaceable board, said replaceable board configured with a casting surface of the modular casting panel.

The formwork corner element of claim 9 comprising a pair of free longitudinal side coupling profiles, each being flush couplable to a side coupling profile of a first casting panel, wherein the free longitudinal side coupling profiles are kept at a spaced apart relation from one another to form said modular casting panel by a replaceable board of material fixedly disposed therebetween, and wherein a casting face of said board of material is configured for extending coplanar with a casting face of the first casting panel.
11. The formwork corner element of claim 10, wherein the replaceable board is made of easily manipulable material, whereby its width is readily worked at-site, and be tailor sized, such that the casting panel is adjustable to meet any desired length, and wherein a gap between two neighboring first casting panels can be bridged.

The formwork corner element of claim 9 or 10, wherein the replaceable board of material of the modular casting panel extends in-between the free longitudinal side coupling profiles, wherein each free longitudinal side coupling profile is configured with a profile casting surface extending coplanar with the casting surface of said replaceable board of material.
13. The formwork corner element of any one of claims 9 to 12, wherein the replaceable board of material of the modular casting panel extends in-between side edges of the free - 15 - longitudinal side coupling profiles, and wherein the casting surface of said replaceable board of material extends across the entire width of the modular casting panel.
14. The formwork corner element of any one of claims 9 to 13, wherein the longitudinal side coupling profiles of the modular casting panel are each configured with a board support for supporting the replaceable board of material, said board supports disposed coplanar with one another and parallel with the casting face.
15. The formwork corner element of any one of claims 9 to 14, wherein the support members are disposable elements fixable between the free longitudinal side coupling profiles.
16. The formwork corner element of any one of claims 9 to 15, wherein a plurality of reinforcing beams are integrally constructed at a back face of the first casting panel.
17. The formwork corner element of any one of the preceding claims reinforcingly secured to one or more neighboring first casting panel by one or more reinforcing bars extending behind at least portions of coextending at least one first casting panel and at least one modular casting panel.
18. The formwork corner element of claim 17, wherein the reinforcing bars are configured with a plurality of apertures for use in conjunction with tie rod systems.
19. The formwork corner element of claim 18, wherein the tie rod system is introduced in a space between two neighboring reinforcing bars.
20. The formwork corner element of claim 18 or 19, wherein one or more co-extending bars are reinforced to one another by a reinforcing piece disposed between the reinforcing bars.
21. The formwork corner element of claim 20, wherein the reinforcing piece is snugly received within a trough portion of the reinforcing bars.
22. The formwork corner element of claim 17 or 21, wherein the reinforcing bars are articulated to a back face of the at least one first casting panel and at least one modular casting panel by coupling elements articulated to the reinforcing bars.
23. The modular casting panel of any one of claims 4 to 22, wherein the casting surface of the modular casting panel is disposable at an angle with respect to the casting surface of at least one first casting panel.
24. The formwork corner element of any one of the preceding claims wherein the casting faces have a smooth or patterned configurations.
25. A method of assembling a formwork corner element comprising: attaching a first coupling profile to a longitudinal side coupling profile of a first side casting panel, said first side casting panel having a casting surface extending between two longitudinal side coupling profiles; attaching a second coupling profile to a longitudinal side coupling profile of a second - 16 - side casting panel, said second side casting panel having a casting surface extending between two longitudinal side coupling profiles; and articulating said first coupling profile to said second coupling profile by a set of coupling elements.
26. The method of claim 25 comprising setting an angle between the first side casting panel and the second side casting panel of the formwork corner element by the first coupling profile and the second coupling profile.
27. The method of claim 25 or 26 comprising: attaching the first coupling profile to an external face of a longitudinal side coupling profile of the first side casting panel, wherein said first coupling profile is configured with a plurality of projecting fasteners extending through apertures at the longitudinal side coupling profile into a space behind a back face of the casting surface of the first side casting panel; and attaching the second coupling profile to an external face of a longitudinal side coupling profile of the second side casting panel, wherein said second coupling profile is configured with a plurality of projecting receptacles extending into said space for locking engagement with said projecting fasteners.
28. The method of any one of claims 25 to 27 comprising detachably articulating one or both of the first coupling profile and the second coupling profile with the respective longitudinal side coupling profile of a side casting panel by wedge fasteners, bolts, clamps and the like.
29. The method of any one of claims 25 to 28 comprising assembling the formwork corner element such that the casting surface of the second side casting panel extends coplanar with an outside surface of the first coupling profile, and a side edge of the first coupling profile extends coplanar with the casting surface of the first side casting panel, giving rise to a smooth corner formwork.
30. The method of any one of claims 25 to 29 comprising supporting other construction components or formwork elements to the formwork corner element to a longitudinal reinforcing bar provided in at least one of the first and second side casting panels.
