Abstract

The invention relates to the production of eggs of oophageous parasitoid insects. The method of activating mobility of females of an oophageous parasitoid insect acting by finding and destroying its host, in particular by finding the corn pyralis, Ostrinia nubilalis, by Trichogramma brassicae, from a host egg, is characterized essentially in that the Trichogramma females from the host egg are exposed to oleic acid by first impregnating the said host egg or its immediate environment. Application to the biological control of the corn pyralis in particular.
