Description

This invention relates to agriculture, and mere particularly, to animal husbandry and may be used for wasteless technology of pig growing.
The nutritive medium disclosg^in prior applications was used for growing synanthrop fly larvaaT^v~consisted of manure with addition of rumen contents of ruminants in the following ratio: rumen contents.....5 - 30 % of the weight manure.............the rest.
With addition of rumen contents in the ratio 5,15 and 50 per cent the yield of larvae biomass was 12, 17, and 112 per cent of the weight of the medium, respectively. The positive action of the rumen contents is connected with, the presence of microorganisms a which produce enzymg and decompose cellulose.
However, the process of collecting the rumen contents is labour consuming, it requires changes in post-slaughter treatment of carcasses and transport expenditures for delivering fresh mass item -tho cluufthter r.ouee -to thw sihop tiologiqtil n-cinure treatment .
Also known is the nutritive medium for house fly larvae which ooneiexs of manure with addition of preparations containing oelluloeeiitic and pectolitic eneyme, namely celloviridin and pectofostidin taken in the ratio: manure ............ 99.50-99.75 % of weight celloviridin ..... 0.125-0.250 ” pectofostidin ...... 0.125-0.250 The medium with additions of celloviridin and pectofostidin in this ratio increases the larvae yield 27 per cent.
Such effect is observed when the medium contains manure with humidity 90 per cent and lower. Pig manure, especially at large farms, has humidity more than 80 per cent. Excessive dilution with water and urine makes the manure less porous and decreases the content of protein and carbohydrate· components. Addition of celloviridin and pectofostidin' in the above quantities to manure with 80% humidity does not improve organic and chemical qualities of the medium for the larvae.

The object of this invention is to increase the yield of the larvae biomass.
This object is achieved by adding brewing wastes to the manure substratum for fly larvae growing in the ratio: malt shoots..........5.0·7·5 )½ of weignx, manure .............92.5-95.0%.
Malt shoots are the wastes of brewing with initial humidity .5 - 4.6 % and contain 19 -24% of protein, 5.6 - 7.4 % of sugar. Even substantially watered malt shoots cannot be used as nutrient medium for fly larvae independently due to acid pH, absence of certain macro- and trace elements (Ρ, K etc.) and vitamins.
The experiments showed that in this medium the larvae etopped to grow and develop on the second stage.
The nutritive medium obtained after mixing pig manure with humidity more than 80 % with 5.0 - 7.5 per cent malt ehoots has 78-80 % humidity, good porosity, increased rate of termophil processes. The medium contains larger quantities of protein and carbohydrate components for feeding larvae. Larvae biomass yield is 98 - 141 kg per 1 ton of pig manure (see Table 1), Example.
The medium io prepared i« the following way. The required quantity uf fllcilt shoo to io added i,o pig aa&uxi end +horcngbly mixed in a mechanical mixer. The nutritive medium is placed to the larvae cultivator where a certain amount of fly eggs is introduced. The influence of malt shoots upon the chemical contents of the medium is shown in Table 2. The data shown illustrate the decrease of pH from 7.5 to 6.2% ; humidity from 84 to 77.1% ; protein grew from 12.4 and 6.8 to 17.8 and 10.7% ; sugar from 0.06 to 0.90 %. The quality of the medium was estimated according to the larvae yield.
The experiments were conducted in the following way.
Two kilograms of pig manure are mixed with malt shoots taken at quantity 1.25, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, 10.0 and 12.5 per cent of the weight. After thorough mixing samples of 200 g are placed to jars of 0.5 1 volume. 1.4 g of fly eggs are added. Pour samples are taken from each of the variants and three series of tests are carried out. Larvae are cultivated during 5 days in a thermostat £XVC Η ,01 i t \ IE 9160 . containing larvae is placed on a mesh, screen and illuminated from above by 500 watt lampe. At the end of the experimpni ©λοΚ gruup of larvae is weighed separately.
The data shown in Table 1 indicate that the greatpot yieldo of larvae were found in the variants where malt shoots were added in the i'at1o 5-7 % of the weight. The yield in this case is 20% higher than in the experiments with pec Cofostldin and epiloviridin; J4.4 - 60.2 ft higher than in the variants without malt shoots.
Addition of malt shoots creates better thermofil conditions in the medium, hence the larvae finish their development 2 days earlier than in the variants without such addition.
Malt shoots are convenient for use, do not complicate processing of th© manure with riy larvae, they are cheap and safe for the attendants.

A- nutritive medium for growing larvae of house fly that contains manure and with the purpose of increasing the yield of the larvae biomass by means of improved physical qualities and nutritional value said medium additionally contains malt shoots in the ratio Malt shoots ....... 5 - 7.5 per cent of the weight, Pig manure ......... the rest.
