Abstract
Subject: automatic hybrid arrangement for the production of electric power and desalinated water by wind generator-and-power generating pair combination. Constitution & operation: wind generator 1 producing mechanical rotary movement transmitted though toothed wheels (cardanic connection) to the shaft of the compressor 2 compressing the air at a desired degree and conducting this last into the compressor of the power-generating pair 4 (air excess being stored into the compressor's air reservoir) and therefrom to the combustion chamber 5 wherein combustible air or gas is introduced via one or several fuel injectors. The combustion products are conducted to the gas turbine 6 where the gases are expanded to cause the rotational movement of the shaft of the gas turbine and consequently that of the asynchronous electric engine 7 which is connected to the shaft of the gas turbine in order to produce electric power. In case of dead calm, air is directly conducted from the compressed air reservoir to the compressor of the power-generating pair, then to the combustion chamber 5 and finally to the air turbine 6 connected to the asynchronous engine 7 for producing power. Said arrangement is also composed of the thermal air-water exchanger 8destined for the production of water by the distillation method and of other auxiliary by-pass accessories and automatisms assisting the right and continuous operation of said arrangement.
