Abstract
This utility model refers to electrochemistry, in particular to production of copper vitriol and sulphur by electrolysis. Technical result of the utility model is to produce simultaneously copper vitriol and sulphur by electrolysis. The essence of the method is that simultaneous production of copper vitriol and sulphur is conducted by electrolysis in sulphuric medium using copper anode wastes or scrups as anode, by separation of cathode and anode zones with a diaphragm. During electrolysis into the anode zone 25-30% sulphuric acid is introduced, whereas into the cathode zone - 0,5-3,0 w/% of sulphuric acid, containing sulphuric gas for 500 A/m² density of cathode current the sulphur reduction being effected on the perforated cathode.
