Abstract

<PICT:0997566/C6-C7/1> A method of introducing refining aluminium into steel comprises placing a hollow aluminium cylinder 3 about the lowest section of a refractory clad ladle stopper. The aluminium cylinder is made up of three sections a, b, and c, the upper end being urged, by a wedge 5, against a collar 4 provided on the cladding. Specification 997,565 is referred to.
