995,595. Counter scales. MAATSCHAPPIJ VAN BERKEL'S PATENT N.V. Nov. 4, 1963 [Nov. 3, 1962], No. 43382/63. Addition to 972,412. Heading G1W. The counter weighing scale of the parent Specification wherein a mirror is provided so that a customer can view commodities on a weigh platform, is modified by interposing a plano-convex lens 9 (as shown) between the concave mirror 6 and the weigh platform 4. The image error of the lens is opposite to that of the mirror so that optical distortions compensate one anbther. The lens is plano-convex in the form of a segment of a cylinder, and the convex surface of the mirror is curved as a segment of a cylinder.
