975,161. Terminal boards and blocks. G. GLASEL, [trading as C. A. WEIDMULLER KOMM. GES.]. April 17, 1963 [Sept. 6, 1962], No. 15120/63. Heading H2E. An L-shaped clamping block for the end of a terminal assembly on an asymmetrical rail S comprises an upright portion 2 having a clamping face 6, 7, a pedestal portion 1 with a top bearing surface 3, which engages under one rail flange, and side clamping grooves 4, one of which co-operates with a lower rail flange, and a securing screw 5 which passes through the pedestal 1 to engage the bottom of the rail S. The bearing surfaces 3, 4<SP>1</SP> of the pedestal 1 are slightly inclined to improve the clamping action, and the pedestal grooves 4 have recesses 14 at the clamping face 6 to allow the block to be turned between the rail flanges (Fig. 4, not shown). Longitudinal bores 9 are provided in the pedestal 1 for the passage of a locking pin 17, and recesses 12, 13 in the portion 2 may accommodate a cover-securing screw and nut.
