Abstract

969,350. Glide castors. HOWARD CLAYTON-WRIGHT Ltd. Oct. 4, 1962 [Oct 19, 1961], No. 37452/61. Heading A4U. A glide castor has a synthetic resin body having two parts 11, 12 and a swivel pin 13 which is rotatable in a sleeve 15 having a flange 16 by which it is attached to a furniture leg 10. The base member 11 is circular in plan view having an axis offset from the swivel pin axis and the under surface of the member extends upwardly at an increasing angle to the horizontal. In a modification Fig. 2 the swivel pin 23 has a flange 24 near its upper end which end is secured in a hole in a fixing plate 22 by peening over the pin to form a head 26.
