Abstract

963,056. Moulding grommets &c. DUNLOP RUBBER CO. Ltd. Oct. 21, 1960 [Oct. 23, 1959], No. 6892/64. Divided out of 960,603. Heading B5A. A grommet is moulded from a rubber strip in one of a series of moulds on a rotary wheel having fixed and movable dies 4, 5, respectively. The central hole in the grommet is formed by a core 11, and the external groove on the grommet is formed by a rib 10 which is partly on the die 4 and partly on the die 5. It is stated that this facilitates removal of the grommet by compressed air through a valve 25.
