Abstract

959,166. Gas storage containers. CONSTRUCTIEWERKPLAASTEN EN MACHINEFABRIK BRAAT N.V. April 3, 1963 [May 11, 1962], No. 13173/63. Heading F4P. A spherical gas storage container 1, Fig. 1, rests on a flange 14, Fig. 2, secured round the rim of a single cylindrical supporting skirt 2; a resilient rubber gasket 15 being interposed between the container and the flange thereby providing an expansion joint. A door 3 in the skirt gives access to a gas inlet 6 and a drain cock 7. The container which is constructed of welded steel plates has manholes 8, 9 a safety valve 10 thermometer nozzles 11, 12 and a manometer nozzle 13.
