952,277. Conduits for electrostatic precipitators. METALLGESELLSCHAFT A.G. Oct. 26, 1962 [Dec. 27, 1961], No. 40660/62. Heading F2G. A gas feeding head 3 for the gas cooler 7 of a purifier is formed of folded plates without reinforcements to form an elbow of square or rectangular cross - section and is provided with guide plates 8, 10, 12 to distribute the gas in the elbow and transition piece 5 evenly to the widened cross-section of the cooler 7. The guide elements 10 are suspended from tie-rods 11 under the cooler dome. A funnel 4a is provided for the removal of dust precipitated in the elbow. Specification 796,736 is referred to.
