Abstract

<PICT:0951457/C1/1> Boiler feed water to be deoxygenated is sprinkled from nozzles 3 of disc 1. A secondary gas such as nitrogen or hydrogen is fed through a porous diaphragm 9 to form very fine bubbles and this displaces the oxygen. The secondary gas and oxygen is vented via holes 12 and the treated water is discharged via holes 14 and pipe 16.
