A goal frame comprises rods and/or tubes 2, 3, 4 and 5 adapted to be releasably secured together end to end, and a tensioning cord or wire 13 slidably engaged in slots or apertures in the members 3 and attached at its ends to anchorages 14 adjacent the upper ends of the uprights of the frame. The frame members may be circular in cross-section, and adapted for stud and socket fastening one to another, in which ease the various members are located relative to each other by pins 6 and 11, or by co-operating ball catches and recesses. Alternatively, the frame members may be of elliptical cross-section to prevent their relative rotation when assembled together, or the ends of the frame members may be screwthreaded. Projections may be formed in parts 8 of members 2 for engaging with the ground, or alternatively blocks may be secured to members 3 for stabilizing the structure. Struts may be provided extending rearwardly from the uprights of the frame, to hold a net away from the goal mouth.
