Abstract

937,100. Toothbrushes. ETABLISSEMENTS AESUP. Aug. 15, 1962, No. 31357/62. Class 19. A diaphragm 7 has liquid-tight connections with section 5 of oscillable shaft 4 of an electrically driven toothbrush and with the annular space between ring 9 and plastic motor casing 1 and is protected by an end portion of the casing having drainage apertures 13, 13a to enable this portion to be rinsed out. The casing 1 is completely sealed and the motor switch is operated by depressing resilient bulges 3. The diaphragm 7 may be of neoprene and, in another form (Fig. 4, not shown) it is unpleated and extended to below bulges 3, the aperture 13 having correspondingly lowered. U.S.A. Specifications 2,917,758 and 3,088,148 are referred to.
