Abstract
An aqueous fibre moulding process for thick articles (greater than 5/32 inch thick) comprises deposition in a feraminous mould followed by partial die drying under external pressure followed by even drying in unrestrained state. The die drying may be vacuum assisted. The fibres may be cellulosic but may also incorporate synthetic fibres. The moulding may be impregnated with water soluble or insoluble substances or resin between the die and oven drying stages.
