930,829. Pre-scalding peas &c. KOMPLEX NAGYBEBENDEZESEK EXPORT-IMPORT VALLALATA. Jan. 20, 1961 [Jan. 21, 1960], No. 2480/61. Class 49. Green peas introduced by a distributor 4 into a U-tube limb 2 are carried upwardly at a predetermined rate by the flow therein of hot water circulated by a variabledelivery pump 1 and heated by perforated steam pipes 9 to a temperature determined by a feeler 16 actuating a control valve 17. Water is supplied by a pipe controlled by a valve 5 and leaves by a weir 6 over which it carries the scalded peas to a belt separator 7. There is an overflow 12, and a valve 13 monitors water supplied to a pump 3 which delivers the green peas to the distributer 4 via a pipe 10 having an anti-siphon air suction valve 11.
