[Also in Groups XXVII and XXXI] An exhaust brake valve 25 of an internalcombustion engine is disposed within the inlet part 12 of the casing 11 of the turbine of an exhaust-driven turbo-supercharger. The butterfly valve 25 is carried by a shaft 21, a flange 26 on which is urged against a bearing sleeve 16 by a spring 33 to prevent gas leakage when the valve is closed to brake the engine.
