Abstract

913,121. Suction cleaner nozzles. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. May 30, 1960 [May 30, 1959], No. 19134/60. Class 8(1). A suction cleaner nozzle contains a rotatable non-powered cylindrical brush having its axis parallel to the surface being cleansed and inclined to the direction of movement of the nozzle. Brush rollers 4, 5 carried by a wire frame 6 and bearings 7, 8, 9 are mounted in swept back halves 2, 3 of the nozzle mouth. In a modification four roller brushes are arranged zig-zag fashion in a conventional elongation motion mouth. The height of brushes 4, 5 above the surface being cleaned is adjusted by a vertical rod 10, Fig. 2 (not shown).
