[Also in Group XXVIII] A pipe support comprises a metal strap 11 having enlarged apertured end portions, a threaded support rod 20 and a cylindrical body member 16 threadably engaged on rod 20, body member 16 having an outturned annular flange 17 and an annular shoulder 18, shoulder 18 being of lesser diameter than the flange 17. The apertured end portions of the metal strap are disposed on the body member 16 between the flange 17 and shoulder 18 so that when the tube 10 is placed in the strap the upper end portion is tilted and moved by the lower end portion into locking engagement with the shoulder 18. The upper surface of the shoulder 18 tapers downwardly and outwardly whilst the lowermost surface extends substantially normally to the surface of the body member.
