In the connection of a hollow metallic connector 2 to a series of pairs of metallic cords 4, 5 forming the reinforcement of a high-pressure flexible tube, a wedge 7 holds each pair of cords in a cavity 6 formed in the connector. The wedge may be located between the cords, Fig. 2, or, as shown in Fig. 5, between one cord of a pair of superimposed cords and the adjacent wall of the cavity.
