Abstract

886,596. Knitting-machines. MORAT G.m.b.H., FRANZ. Oct. 19, 1959 [Oct. 18, 1958], No. 35396/59. Class 74 (2). The rotor of an eddy current electric motor 8 serves to feed yarn to the yarn guide delivering it to the needles of a flat bed machine. The motor may be mounted on the cam carriage or alternatively supported above the bobbin is illustrated at 8<SP>1</SP>. The yarn is wound around the smooth hard external surface of the rotor so that the frictional grip and the rate of feed are varied as the tension in the yarn alters.
