Abstract

885,518. Swash plate pumps. AIREQUIPEMENT. March 7, 1958 [March 8, 1957], No. 31186/61. Divided out of 885,517. Class 102(1). A rotary cyclinder swash plate pump is driven by a gear 5 meshing with teeth 6 on the rotor 1. The rotor 1 is supported by a bearing 3 which may be of graphite, in the vicinity of the pivot axis 20 of the swash-plate 15 and between it and valve face end ; a further bearing 7 is provided. The swash-plate may be graphite or the piston shoes may have an antifriction electrolitic deposit. In a modification the rotor is supported by bearings mounted on a central shaft and the pump outlet is arranged on the opposite side to the gear meshing point.
