Abstract

885,154. Assembling rubber bushes. SOC. APPLICAZIONI GOMMA ANTIVIBRANTI S.p.A. March 10, 1960 [March 25, 1959], No. 8504/60. Class 108(3). A resilient bearing has two rigid concentric bushings 10, 11 and an annular rubber layer 12 vulcanized or otherwise bonded to the bushings and formed with two grooves 15, 16 of different diameters extending at least to the transverse mid-plane E of the bearing. The profiles of the walls of the grooves are formed as arcs of circles having their centres in the plane E while the difference between the greatest and smallest radius is preferably not greater than 10% of the average of the radii. The bottoms of the grooves lie in the central third of the bearing and are separated by a web 17 having a radial thickness between a quarter and a third of that of the layer 12. In a second embodiment the walls of the grooves are cylindrical.
