The invention comprises steroid compounds of the general formula <FORM:0884571/IV (b)/1> wherein R represents hydrogen or a lower alkly or a (lower alkyl)-CO-group, and R1 represents hydrogen or a (lower alkyl)-CO-group (the expression lower alkyl herein means an alkyl group containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms).
