Abstract

The invention comprises alpha-(3 : 3-dimethyl-1-azetidinyl)-2 : 6-dimethyl-acetanilide and non-toxic mineral acid addition salts thereof; and the preparation thereof by reacting alpha-chloroaceto-2 : 6-xylidide with 3 : 3-dimethyl-azetidine hydrochloride in the presence of a tertiary aliphatic amine. An example is given.
