Abstract

Cyclopentadienyl manganese, ruthenium and osmium carbonyls are reacted with a halide or anhydride of an organic acid or an alkyl halide by means of the Friedel-Crafts reaction. Reaction may be carried out at temperatures up to 100 DEG C. and at pressures up to 10 atmospheres or higher.
