Abstract

862,380. Packaging. BLACKBURN GROUP Ltd., and CLARK, F. M. Jan. 20, 1959, No. 2165/59. Class 94(1). [Also in Groups XXX and XXXIII] Fig. 1 is a side elevation of an assembly for dropping by parachute from an aircraft, and Fig. 5 is a section on line V-V of Fig. 1. A plywood base 1 is provided with two or more battens 2, and the load on the base is enclosed by four hardboard walls 9 (one shown). A set 4 surrounds the walls, and loops of the net are passed through holes at the edges of the base and engaged by a rope 5 passing round the base. The upper edge of the net is gathered together to enclose the load. A layer of shock absorbing material may be applied as in Specification 829,401.
