Abstract

854,725. Liquid-level indicators. EVERSHED & VIGNOLES Ltd. Aug. 14, 1959 [July 11, 1958], No. 22353/58. Class 123(1) [Also in Group XXIX] A float 4 is guided in a tank 1 by means of three nylon ropes 5, 6 and 7 which pass through openings in the float. The ropes are clamped at their lower ends between two halves 10, 11 of an anchor plate which rests on the bottom of the tank, part of the weight of the anchor being supported by the ropes 5, 6, 7. The upper ends of the ropes are secured to a support 2 by means of clamps 12 which have a non-return action to allow each rope to be pulled freely in an upward direction but prevent it from moving downwardly in the reverse direction.
