Abstract

Polyolefins, particularly those produced by low-pressure processes such as that of Specification 799,392, are stabilized by 0.001 to 2% of mercaptobenzimidazole. Polyolefins specified are the polymers (and mixtures thereof) of ethylene and/or propylene. The mercaptobenzimidazole may be added, e.g. as a solution or suspension, during polymerization or during the working up of polymer. Dyestuffs, pigments, fillers and other stabilizers may also be present.
