Abstract

835,712. Fuel injectors. SATZGER, E. Feb. 21, 1957 [Nov. 16, 1956], No. 5862/57. Class 7(3) A fuel injection valve 3 is loaded by a main spring 11 and by a subsidiary spring 12 which only becomes effective after the valve has lifted a predetermined distance, the valve having an extension pin 6 which throttles the outlet orifice 7 during the first part of the valve lift. The spring 12 abuts against a washer 13 which rests on the valve body 15 until contacted by a shoulder 14 on the valve after an initial lift thereof. The total valve lift is determined by an adjustable stop 16.
