Class 52(2) A bed settee has ends 1 constituting arm rests and legs connected by rails 2 and a mattress frame with parts 3, 5 hinged together at 4 and pivoted by links 6, 7 to plates 8 secured to framework 1, the links 6 being connected to each other by a torsion bar 12 and to each plate 8 by a spring 9. A stud 13 on link 7 limits downward seat movement and in the bed position upward movement of links 6, 7 is limited by a stop bracket 11.
