Class 106 (1) In a ten-key calculating machine having differential actuators carrying racks movable under the control of transfer stops through an additional step beyond the zero position to effect tens transfers and in which any released transfer stops are restored early in a machine cycle, total-taking mechanism comprises an aligner for temporarily arresting the actuators in their zero positions after a small initial movement and means which then engage the totalizer with the racks, the aligner being restored after the totalizer has been engaged. The embodiment described is fully disclosed in Specification 819,283, to which reference is made.
