Abstract

814,886. Garters. POTTS, H. W. DAKIN-. June 8, 1955 [June 11, 1954], No. 17230/54. Class 141 A garter comprises a transversely stretchable band 10 with superimposed marginal strips 11 of fabric and strips 12 of foam rubber, foamed polyvinyl chloride, &c., the ends of the band being either permanently connected by a longitudinally elastic strip 19 or detachably connected by elastic end portions and a hook and clasp. The strip 12 is provided with integral cup-shaped studs 13, each consisting of a cylindrical wall and two diametrical walls. According to the earlier Provisional Specification, the ends of the band 10 are slightly oblique, so that the garter is of elongated trapezium shape.
