804,362. Automatic speed control systems. SQUARE D CO. Feb. 28, 1956 [Feb. 28, 1955], No. 32185/57. Divided out of 804,361. Drawings to Specification. Class 38 (4). [Also in Group XXXVII] The subject-matter of this Specification is substantially the same as that described in Specification 804,361 but the claims relate to an exciter control arrangement for a direct-current generator supplying a direct-current motor, which arrangement comprises a main generator field winding, and a magnetic amplifier having output and control windings, said main field winding being supplied by means of said output windings, there being applied to a control winding of the magnetic amplifier a control signal voltage dependent upon the motor speed, and there being included a means responsive to the motor current for over-riding the effect that the speed-responsive voltage has upon the control winding.
