Abstract

802,400. Resilient drives. CROSET, L. P. Nov. 19, 1956 [Dec. 16, 1955], No. 36137/55. Class 80 (2). A flexible coupling, damper, gear-wheel, &c., comprises coaxial driving and driven members 44, 12, a drum 15 fast with the driving member having radially inwardly directed blades 30 interdigitated between outwardly projecting blades 11 on the driven member, the spaces between the blades containing rubber &c. rollers 10 having radii approximately equal to the radii of arcs of curvature 17, 18 and 20, 21 formed at the roots of the blades. The arc of curvature 17, 18 extends over more than 90 degrees, and the arc of curvature 20, 21 over less than 90 degrees. The diameters of the rollers 10 may be the same as or slightly greater than the distance separating opposite sides 17; 21 of the roller containing spaces.
