Class 75(1) In a liquid fuel burner consisting of an annular trough 2 containing a cylindrical kindler 5 supplied with liquid fuel by leads 6, 7 from a supply pipe 8 controlled by a valve 9, and a generator consisting of a plurality of concentric spaced tubes supported on an annular shelf 10 at the upper end of the trough having an annular rim 12 engaging the lower part of the innermost tube 18 of the generator at least one ring of holes 20 of a diameter in the range 0.045 in. to 0.065 in. is provided in the shelf for admission of air. The generator may comprise an outer tube 15, an intermediate tube 16 having perforations 17 and engaging the outer rim 11 of the shelf and an inner tube 18 having perforations 19 and engaging the rim 12.
