794,317. Delivery guides for molten glass. OWENS-ILLINOIS GLASS CO. Aug. 10, 1956, No. 24492/56. Drawings to Specification. Class 56. A delivery guide surface for conveying molten glass has a coating banded thereto and containing a thermosetting resin and a lubricating filler. The filler may be graphite or molybdenum disulphide and the resin is a phenolic resin. A suggested composition comprises 60 per cent phenolic resin, 40 per cent graphite but the resin may comprise 20-95 per cent, the graphite 5-80 per cent, increased resin increasing the wearing properties of the coating but decreasing the speed of travel of the gob.
