[Also in Groups XXXVIII and XL (c)] A transistor 1 is connected in a feedback oscillator circuit with a limiting collector resistor 3 so that the amplitude increases with falling temperature (see Group XL (c)), the output from amplifier 6 rising to increase the heating from coil 10. The coil 10 contains the oscillator circuit and tends to maintain the temperature constant.
