Abstract

782,895. Mirrors. O'SHEI, W. E. June 28 1955 [April 5, 1954; Aug. 6, 1954; Sept. 9 1954], Nos. 9928/54, 22934/54 and 26142/54 Class 52(4) [Also in Group XX] Glass mirrors 5 for lookout reflectors are protected on the silvered side by an impervious back plate 9 secured by a peripheral layer of adhesive cement 4, the space between the parts being partially evacuated as they are pressed together during sealing, no vents being provided in the back plate. A resilient sealing ring may replace the cement and the back plate is preferably dished to bear on the outer casing 6 while the edge 7 is spun over.
