781,928. Heating or cooling buildings. DUTRIEUX, P. C. Oct. 10, 1955 [Nov. 16, 1954], No. 33119/54. Class 64(2) A heating or cooling panel operating by convection and by radiation is made up of two steel plates A welded together around their peripheries and also at intermediate contact areas L so as to form a number of chambers in direct contact with the heating or cooling fluid, e.g. water, steam, air or any suitable gas. On the outer surface of each plate A is provided a secondary heating surface B constituted by steel fins open at both ends and shaped so that a substantial portion C<1> of their surface is in contact with and welded to the portion C of the respective plate A. The outer edges of the contoured parts forming the fins B bear elastically against the plates A whilst providing an intimate contact.
