A brassiere is formed of a continuous film of deposited latex of which the lower portion, at least, of the front is of greater thickness than the remainder. This portion is shown as the area between the full lines 18, 19, Fig. 1, or below the dotted line 121, and between the lines L, Fig. 7. Patches 25-28 or 130-133 of fabric are secured to the brassiere at the points of attachment of the shoulder straps, and strips of nylon &c. 29-33 or 136-141 are secured at suitable points to prevent stretching. Short cotton, rayon or other fibres may be bonded to the inner face of the latex which may include a substance which protects it from body secretions. Specification 764,307 [Group V] is referred to.
