Class 81 (2) In artificial dentures the greater part of the occlusal surfaces of the molars and premolars lie on the surface of an imaginary sphere, the centre of which is above the occlusal plane and, in addition, the upper teeth have a, lingual cusp and the lower teeth have a buccal ridge. In the form described the main part of the occlusal surface h of the lower molars lies on the sphere indicated by the lower circular line and, in the rest position of the dentures, this coincides with the sphere on which lie the lowermost surfaces of the projecting cusps e on the upper molars. The lower molars also have ridges g which extend along the buccal and distal edges of each tooth.
