[Also in Group XXIX] In a valve device for controlling the radiator shutters of an internal combustion engine, one or a pair of bi-metallic strips 25, 25<SP>1</SP> is or are mounted on a partition 13 which is dished so as to project into a portion 1 of the cooling circuit. The strips are substantially L-shaped and operate valves 22, 22<SP>1</SP> so that when one valve is open the other is closed.
