Abstract

755,624. Syringes. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. Nov. 5, 1954 [Nov. 6, 1953], No. 30855/53. Class 102(2). [Also in Group XXIX] A flexible -walled fluid container or bag suitable for insertion in a rigid outer container to which gaseous pressure may be applied to collapse the bag to expel fluid therefrom includes a collector frame which forms a skeleton about which the bag may collapse or expand. The collector frame comprises a perforated central tube 1 closed at its upper end, open at its lower end for admission and expulsion of fluid, and mounted on a plate 2 which is secured to the base 4 of the outer container. Welded to the tube 1 are four equally spaced, C-shaped, perforate tubular ribs 6 which connect with the interior of the tube 1. Perforate webs 8 are riveted between each rib 6 and the tube 1. The flexible bag is clamped between the members 2 and 4. The invention is applicable to aircraft fuel tanks.
