747,770. Signs. PREMIER ENGINEERING CO. (SCARBOROUGH), Ltd. Oct. 11, 1954 [July 11, 1953], No. 19282/53. Class 3(2) A portable sign has a stand portion comprising a circular or other shaped base 1 of metal rod, tube or the like and an arch member 3 with its ends 2 welded to the inner face of the base 1 at diametrically opposite points. A signboard 5 is freely and removably attached to the cross member 4 of the arch 3 by hooks 6 or other means. Metal rings or other types of stops are provided on the cross member 4 to locate the signboard. The width and length of the base are not substantially less, and preferably greater than the height of the stand. Many stands can be stacked one on top of another with each base resting on the one below. In a modification the feet of the arch member may be threaded and bolted to plates welded to the base.
