742,451. Valves. HAUTIER, C. Dec. 16, 1953 [Dec. 19, 1952], No. 35047/53. Class 135. A unit assembly of two coaxial pressure sensitive safety devices and an audible warning device mounted on, e.g., the closure 1 of a pressure vessel, comprises a plate-like valve 12 having an annular rib 13 spring pressed on to a resilient seating 14 on the closure and carrying a spring-pressed valve 2 obturating a conduit 11 leading from the vessel through the valve 12 to a whistle 6, operated by pressure when the valve 2 opens. The spring 9 loading the valve 2 is adjusted by a pin 8 on the slidable whistle body 5 engaging one of the slots 3, 4 in the valve casing 15 and a spring 10 lifts the valve 2 from its seating 3<SP>1</SP> when the pin is disengaged from the slot. The dished springs 18 loading the plate valve may be replaced by a helical spring.
